2008年兰州大学生命科学学院系获理学学士学位,2013年中国科学院上海神经科学研究所获理学博士学位。2013-2015年在北京师范大学认知神经科学与学习国家重点实验室从事博士后研究。2013-2020年在美国芝加哥大学神经生物学系从事博士后研究。2020年8月至今任北京大学心理与认知科学学院研究员、麦戈文脑研究所研究员、北京大学-清华大学生命科学联合中心研究员。

实验室致力于探索抽象概念表征和学习、灵活性决策等高级认知功能的神经回路和神经计算机理, 并试图将其应用于类脑人工智能的开发以及病人认知功能障碍的治疗。方法上,将以清醒猕猴多脑区多通道细胞外电生理记录为基础,同时结合药理学实验、光遗传学刺激、双光子钙成像、人类心理物理学实验、机器学习等方法。
