Abstract: Traditional in-person psychotherapies are incapable of addressing mental health needs globally. Fundamentally new approaches are needed to increase access to effective mental health care in an economic, feasible, and scalable manner. Peer-counseling and computer-based interventions represent promising strategies for creating large-scale initiatives that lead to declines in mental illness globally. Dr. Rodriguez’s seminar will provide insights into opportunities and limitations of these solutions.
