Our mind have evolved through the millions years of human evolution. How and why our mind evolved? To answer this question, one of the most critical ways is to compare cognitive abilities between humans and our evolutionary neighbors, that is, chimpanzees. By investigating chimpanzee mind from the perspective of comparative cognitive science, we will get insights into the primate origin of human mind. From basic to more complex levels, from infancy to adulthood, from ecological to social intelligence, I have been studying various aspects of cognitive abilities of chimpanzees. In this talk, I briefly introduce those findings on the chimpanzee mind.
